Peter Brown

With the emergence of Social Media the lines between traditional PR and digital outreach have blurred.  You need a pro who understands that unique balance. Peter has learned how to continually juggle projects to achieve that balance, keeping one foot in Social Media and the other in traditional Public Relations.

As social media manager, Peter has developed that rare ability to manage a consistent tone and branding of client pages.  He successfully performs social media audits, coordinates giveaways and promotions, and regulates a steady, continual customer outreach.  He knows how to build  customer loyalty through Facebook, Twitter, blogs, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest and more.  Peter has also aided clients with social media monitoring reports with tailored insights, recommendations and industry trends for their businesses.   His work spans from retail (Wendy’s, Macey’s, Fresh Market and more) to government/organizations (Park City Chamber, Utah Highway Safety Office).

Peter also knows the ropes of a traditional PR manager.  While working for clients as diverse as Microsoft, H&M, the Polynesian Cultural Center and Zion’s Bank, he has taken clients to New York on desk-side publicity tours as well as gaining the all important local market coverage through press conferences, grand opening events, interviews and more.   Along with rewriting content for websites, Peter has directed video production and has experience conducting media training.

While finishing his Public Relations degree at Utah State University, Peter wrote for the newspaper and undertook an investigative journalism assignment authoring a series of articles uncovering illegal activity by a dean.  He was also a contributor to the social media efforts of the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business, and well as a strategist for the launching campaign of the education platform, Pengala, in India. Peter is happily married and lives with his wife’s second love, a Pug-Chihuahua mix.  When not working, he may be found with his second love — perfecting his next Halloween costume.

When you need someone to roll up their sleeves and do anything from strategic planning to blocking and tackling for social media or PR, Peter and the Spark! team are ready to lend a hand.
